Why Nanit Is the Best Baby Monitor for New Moms

Why Nanit Is the Best Baby Monitor for New Moms

Mother’s Day is just around the corner, and we know exactly what every new mom wants.

SLEEP!

Precious, precious sleep. Because even when you’re lucky enough to have a good sleeper (and oh, you are so lucky!), it’s hard not to spend those first few months fretting and checking and then fretting some more. And all the people who tell you to sleep when the baby does? Ha! The dishes aren’t going to wash themselves—every new mama knows that nap time is prime time for getting things done.

Unfortunately, sleep can’t be wrapped up in a bow for gifting, but we do have the next best thing: the Nanit baby monitor. Here’s why it’s the perfect Mother’s Day gift for new moms everywhere.

It’s a Smart Monitor for Smart Moms

Back in the day, baby monitors were barely a step above the plastic walkie-talkies you played with as a kid. The audio? Not really audible! The reliability? Not great!

The introduction of video feeds was a game-changer, and then wi-fi took monitors to the next level by replacing fuzzy black-and-white images with crystal-clear visuals. Smart baby monitors improved upon this further by giving parents the data they crave.

If you know a mom who loves to do deep dives into PubMed to find the latest research on precisely when to start solids, or the new mom who has a detailed log book tracking her little one’s every activity, then you know a mom who needs the Nanit smart baby monitor. It provides unparalleled sleep tracking and analysis, and not only does it give you the numbers, it actually provides actionable advice based on the data it gathers.

Oh, and needless to say, the advice offered in Nanit Insights is from a pediatric sleep expert. No woo-woo here, it’s all science-backed and customized to your baby’s unique sleep patterns and behaviors!

It’s Made for Busy Moms

You buy a baby book with the best intentions, but by the time you actually sit down to fill it out, your kiddo will be about to start preschool. When did they first sleep through the night? How old were they when they rolled over for the first time? Who knows at this point!

Busy moms—and let’s be real, that’s every mom—will appreciate the Nanit smart monitor because it goes far beyond sleep monitoring by also tracking baby’s movements and milestones, along with their growth and measurements. And you can view it all on crystal-clear video, which is more than you can say for a standard baby book!

It Helps New Moms Sleep Better

There’s no more sneaking into the nursery to make sure your baby’s breathing with Nanit. The Nanit smart monitor has breathing wear that tracks breathing motion through innovative swaddles and pajamas by reading subtle movements in the pattern on the fabric.

Even better, Nanit is less prone to false alarms like some other smart baby monitors. Nothing will wake you up in the middle of the night like an alarm telling you to check your baby’s breathing—and then you run to the nursery only to find that the sensor on their foot fell off. You can also adjust Nanit’s settings to make it more or less sensitive to movements.
